Training Week, leading up to BPC Valhalla (Hercules Power)

Typical training week and some Extra getting ready for Valhalla/Hercules Power Colchester

Right peeps, I’m back! You may have picked up from my last few posts that I’ve just recovered from a lay-off of approx 2 weeks. Essentially it was self-inflicted, a 5 night Stag-do in Mayrhofen, which kicked off on Easter Monday, followed by a Stomach flu from hell. Not condusive to making any gains in strength, in fact quite the opposite, my weight dropped from 104kg’s down to 99kg’s at one point, which really hit my Squat and Bench. These are the 2 lifts where body weight makes a massive difference – the only way to explain the science is that if you hit a loaded barbell a sledge hammer it’ll move more than if you hit it with watch mallet…..

High Protein Foods – all you need to know to make any meal!

Whats in there in terms of Protein, protein isn’t just eating meat!

High Protein Foods, Protein Content

So here we go – this actually turned out to be a massive post, but a lot of the content is simply stats and facts of high protein foods and the percentage of protein contained within those foods per a 100 gram weight of selected food!

So here we have a rather mundane post but an important one. If you are anything like me you may be confused that some foods are higher in protein content than others and that you need to eat a whole cow to absorb large quantities of protein. The reality is you can get protein from so many different sources, Soy Bean, Nuts, Toffu etc.. and actually variance is the spice of life, this is true when it comes to protein.
